The refreshed 2019 FISA Guidance on Managing Health & Safety in Forestry (GMHSF), is now available to the UK forestry industry.

A recent query received into FISA about accreditation turned out to be a Landowner enquiry who was recommended to get a competent FWM – the shared links below may be helpful as explanation for other Landowners who do not often undertake forestry works.

Plant, machinery and equipment must be suitable for the purpose for which it is used or provided and may be used only under the conditions for which it is suitable. It must be maintained, in working order and in good repair, and must comply with relevant design and construction standards where applicable.

Roadside Safety Week takes place between 19th November – 25th November 2025. It is an annual event dedicated to raising awareness about road safety issues, including the prevention of accidents, injuries, and fatalities on the road.
