Covid 19 and Welfare

FISA Safety Bulletin

Assessing the use of the welfare unit needs to follow the basic risk assessment process, with each site/situation.

For upto date advice on Covid-19 please check the Government website www.gov.uk/coronavirus (the Government website gives essential health recommendations AND business advice relating to Covid-19).

Current Government advice is to follow social distancing (this is outlined in greater detail on the Government website), so clearly people should ensure that they keep a 2m distance apart all the time, handwashing more often is also recommended.  The welfare unit needs to be cleaned and disinfected more frequently as the surfaces in the welfare unit could be frequently touched surfaces.
