Deer Vehicle Collisions

In the last 50 years, the wild deer population and their range has increased substantially, as has traffic, unfortunately resulting in more collisions. 

Deer collisions can have devastating outcomes. With winter driving and commuting in darkness, we should be mindful of the potential for deer to be on the roads. While deer can be present on/near roads at any time, likelihood increases during winter and mating seasons.
