Hydraulic oil spills

Scottish Woodlands Environment Bulletin

Scottish Woodlands have had six reported hydraulic oil spills on their managed worksite in the last four months.
The spills came from a range of forestry machinery types, including.

  • Timber lorries
  • Excavators
  • Tractors
  • Self-propelled woodchippers

All of the incidents were identified and reported early, suitable containment and clean-up response measures and materials were put in place.
