City & Guilds NPTC Certificate of Competence – Chainsaw Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Products.

City & Guilds have redeveloped their suite of Chainsaw Certificate of Competence qualifications and developed a suite of NPTC Chainsaw Continuous Professional Development (CPD) modules.

City & Guilds have worked together with industry partners in highlighting the importance of maintaining a competent workforce that can demonstrate up-to-date knowledge and skills within their day to day working practices. The Continuous Professional Development (CPD) modules have been development in support of this requirement and will be available from 4th January 2022.

Centres that are already approved and deliver the current City & Guilds qualifications as listed below will be able to go through the fast track approval process. For ease of interpretation, we have identified the current qualifications offered to their matching CPD modules.

Digital credentials will be awarded for successful completion of the CPD products via a Digital Badge as this is proving to be best practice and aids the candidate’s ability to demonstrate that they have maintained their knowledge and skills. A Digital Badge will be awarded instead of a Certificate.

CPD Pre-requisites

CPD modules can only be taken by candidates that currently hold the relevant qualification. Any City & Guilds qualification or regulated qualification from other awarding bodies will be acceptable as a pre-requisite.
