Peel Ports Safety Bulletin

FISA FHWG have shared this Safety Bulletin from Peel Ports, whereby a fall from a truck resulted in a fatality.

The haulage operator received a suspended jail sentence, and a family lost a loved one.

FISA FHWG reviewed this situation in 2020 and the Bulletin from then listed below. The Working at Height Regs 2005 have not changed, and remain applicable across the Forestry sector. Everyone in the supply chain from forest operations to receivers have a responsibility to review RAMS and ensure safe systems of work are being followed.
