Stroke Incident

Scottish Woodlands Workplace, Wellness & Wellbeing Toolbox Talk

An operator returned to his vehicle to refuel the chainsaw and unexpectedly failed to return. Concerned about his absence, his colleague went to check on him and discovered him clearly unwell and exhibiting signs of a stroke. Immediate action was taken, and emergency services (999) were called, as the injured person had lost his ability to speak.

Currently, the injured individual is under medication to manage blood pressure and is gradually recovering his speech. There is optimism and hope for a full recovery due to the fast-acting colleagues and medical staff.
