Recommendations for specific forestry first aid trauma kits
At point of work machine or hand cutter first aid kits
- 2 x Large trauma dressing
- 2 x Pair of plastic gloves
- 1 x Rough cut scissors (capable of cutting through PPE)
- 1 x Haemostatic gauze
- 1 x Tourniquet
- 1 x 300mg Aspirin *Remember to check for allergies/contra-indications for use
- Eye wash solution Bottle - Machine based operators and;
- Smaller single use bottles for all others.
Recommended kit to be in welfare unit or Van
- General first aid kit
- Spare plasters, sterile wipes gloves
- Spares of the above items or one spare full kit
- Orange and foil survival bags
- Emergency shelter
- Full eye wash station
