FLS Prior Information Notice - Harvesting & Associated Services

Future tender opportunities with FLS for Harvesting Mechanised Harvesting & Extraction and Planned Manual Tree Felling (Chainsaw) Operations. It is anticipated that FLS will be advertising tender opportunities in mid-late summer, with a view to contracts being awarded in January 2022.

FLS has published an in-depth Market Engagement Survey in the form of a Prior information Notice (PIN) notice. The PIN will be published on the Public Contract Scotland (PCS) portal. It is also downloadable below.

FLS are seeking to gather as many responses, from as wide a range of potential suppliers as possible.

The questionnaire is a substantial document, however it is essential that prior to any procurement process FLS have a clear picture and detailed understanding of the size, scope, capacity, and future aspirations of the marketplace, as well as identifying fresh approaches, or innovations,

The information the supplier base can provide is vital to our considerations as to how FLS move forward in delivering these requirements, and develop a strategic approach to delivery of these services.

More information on this and how to respond can be found at https://forestryandland.gov.scot/business-and-services/procurement.
