FLS COVID-19 compliance checks - update report March 2021

Whilst these COVID-19 checks, continue to demonstrate a good level of compliance across FLS, and restrictions begin to be lifted, the ongoing efforts of both FLS staff and suppliers to manage COVID-19 risks effectively need to continue through this next stage of the pandemic.

The issue of welfare provision continues to be an area for improvement.

These checks continue to show the value of the Plan-Do-Check-Act process in promoting compliance and a culture of continual improvement.

Inspection of Work Equipment & Machines

This Technical Note will only focus on the requirements in relation to inspection of equipment and machines. But it is the responsibility of the employer to familiarise themselves with the other elements of Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) / Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998) (LOLER).
