Fall from height - Forwarder operator laceration to leg

Scottish Woodlands Health & Safety Bulletin

A forwarder operator was exiting his machine, holding the main door for support. A sudden, powerful gust of wind caught the door, pulling him forward, he lost his balance, slipped and fell. As he fell, he struck the aggressive foot treads on the machine access steps, causing serious lacerations to his right leg.

Learning points and a reminder to maintain 3-points of contact when accessing and exiting your machine are included in the bulletin below.
