Recommendations for specific forestry first aid trauma kits

At point of work machine or hand cutter first aid kits

• 2 x Large trauma dressing
• 2 x Pair of plastic gloves
• 1 x Rough cut scissors (capable of cutting through PPE)
• 1 x Haemostatic gauze
• 1 x Tourniquet
• 1 x 300mg Aspirin *Remember to check for allergies/contra-indications for use
• Eye wash solution Bottle - Machine based operators and;
• Smaller single use bottles for all others.

Recommended kit to be in welfare unit or Van

• General first aid kit
• Spare plasters, sterile wipes gloves
• Spares of the above items or one spare full kit
• Orange and foil survival bags
• Emergency shelter
• Full eye wash station
