Refresh of FISA 703 - Debogging and recovery of forestry machines

The FISA Plant and Equipment WG have identified the need to refresh the current FISA 703 guidance following feedback from industry representatives.

What would you as operators/contractors like to see included in this revision?

  • Could we provide supporting information on correct methods of extracting machines?
  • Do you wish clarity on the equipment that can be used? shackles/chains/winches/etc...?
  • Are you more likely to use a machine pull rather than a winch to help debog a forest machine?
  • Do you undertake your own vehicle recovery? If yes, what calibre of winch do you keep on site?

Please send your feedback to technical@ukfisa.com, marked De-bogging, and this will be sent on direct to the FISA Plant & Equipment sub-group
