Emergency First Aid at Work – Forestry +F

The purpose of an Emergency First Aid at Work - Forestry +F first aid course is to ensure that the course content is forestry and remote worker specific.  In this training the trainer will focus on advice on difficult communications and include advice on more trauma focused injuries and management of casualties for longer periods than you would expect in urban areas.

If an employer determines in their first aid needs assessment that they need to have at least one trained first aider, the HSE strongly recommend that practical elements of the training and student assessment are conducted face to face.  This position, and information on other safeguards when commissioning blended first aid training is set out in paragraph 24 in the HSE guidance leaflet: GEIS3 - Selecting a first aid training provider - A guide for employers.

By refreshing the first aid training on certificate expiry, new skills/new methods will be taught, for example the use of defibrillators.
