Building on Our Strong Health & Safety Foundations

Dear Colleagues,

As I prepare to begin my journey as the new Accord Manager, I want to begin by recognising the strong foundations already in place. It is clear to me that a great deal of work has gone into strengthening our systems, improving our practices, and building a culture where safety is taken seriously across the industry.

I am joining with a genuine respect for the progress that has already been made. My intention is to understand what has contributed to that success, support the work that is already delivering results, and help us continue moving forward with confidence.

Over the coming weeks, I’ll be spending time across our operations to listen, learn, and understand your experiences. Your insights will be essential in shaping our next steps as an organisation and ensuring that any improvements we make in guidance are practical, meaningful, and aligned with the realities of our work.

My commitment is to build on what’s working well, reinforce the strengths that have brought us this far, and work with you to identify opportunities for further improvement. Together, I am sure that we will continue to strengthen a culture where everyone goes home safe, every day.
